7 Minutes could save your life!

Got 7 minutes to spare?

Major Jim Baker was interviewed by WLIO TV today about a fitness study that he recently did at the LPD. He reached out to Officers and other employees of the Police Department to be test subjects for a 7 week study. He titled the study "7 Minutes could save your life"

As part of the study, over 20 volunteers participated in a 7 minute workout program 3 days per week. At the end of the study, there were some amazing results!

The exercises in the 7 minute workout are:

1. Jumping Jacks
2.  Wall Sits
3.  Push-ups
4.  abdominal crunches
5.  step-ups onto a chair
6.  squats
7.  tricep dips on a chair
8.  planks
9.  high knees running in place
10.  lunges
11.  push-ups and rotations
12.  side planks



Sergeant Paula Strickler was one of the test subjects in Major Baker's study.  She saw tremendous results and is still doing the program with some modifications to make it harder!  Way to go Paula!
