2 Arrested after short vehicle pursuit

LPD Officers arrested 2 subjects after attempting a traffic stop on Wednesday evening.


2 men were arrested on Wednesday evening at approximately 5:15 PM after an officer attempted to stop a black 2012 Chevy Cruze at Fairfield and Allentown Road for a stop sign violation.  The vehicle did not stop when the officer activated his overhead lights.  The vehicle passed other vehicles on Allentown Road in an attempt to evade the officer.

The vehicle traveled approximately 3 blocks and then stopped in the 2000 block of University Drive.  Officers located suspected drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. 

The driver of the vehicle, Cameron Rogers,  age 23, from Lima faces charges in relation to the pursuit, as well as driving with a suspended operators license.  He was also found to have a warrant for his arrest from Franklin County.  The passenger of the vehicle, Demonta Rogers, age 21, also of Lima, faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
